Job Description
Part-time phlebotomist collecting blood, hair, and DNA samples for Eurofins’ UK testing services. Serving legal, childcare, and donor appointments around Middlesbrough.
Responsibilities:
- Attend pre-booked appointments at various locations in and around Middlesbrough, up to a 2-hour radius from home
- Provide professional hair, blood and DNA sample collection services
- Maintain and develop excellent relationships with clients and donors
- Implement company Quality Management System requirements and help maintain ISO 17025 accreditation
- Ensure collections are undertaken in a safe, healthy and low-risk manner
- Provide statements of truth at the point of collection
- Collect samples at solicitors’ offices, local authority offices or donors’ homes
Requirements:
- Professionally qualified Phlebotomist
- Recent experience in various venepuncture techniques, predominantly vacutainer and butterfly
- Ability to collect samples in non-clinical settings
- Excellent interpersonal and language skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own access to a vehicle with business insurance
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in Phlebotomy
- Proof of Phlebotomy competency may be required
- Hepatitis B vaccination required
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Experience within the NHS / Blood Service (desirable)
- Experience collecting hair and DNA samples (desirable)
