Job Description

Analista de Redes no NIIS, empresa da IPV7 Group que gerencia redes de telecomunicações. Investigando falhas, configurando equipamentos e conduzindo mudanças em ambientes multivendor.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to and follow up on incidents, requests and changes related to network infrastructure
  • Perform troubleshooting on layer 2 and layer 3 networks, identifying causes, impacts and corrective actions
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches and other network equipment
  • Analyze interfaces, MAC and ARP tables, routes, adjacencies, logs and counters for diagnostics
  • Work with VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP and MPLS/LDP, depending on the environment
  • Prepare change procedures including validations, tests and rollback strategy
  • Execute and monitor scheduled maintenance windows, ensuring communication and risk control
  • Record activities and technical decisions in tickets, meeting defined SLAs
  • Interact with customers, carriers, vendors and technical teams on diagnostics and escalations
  • Keep documentation, diagrams, inventories and configuration standards up to date
  • Identify recurring faults, risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Share knowledge and support less experienced analysts

Requirements:

  • Experience in network operations, support or management, preferably with ISPs or carriers
  • Hands-on experience configuring equipment and troubleshooting connectivity
  • Practical experience in Internet service provider (ISP) networks
  • Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, subnetting and high availability
  • Knowledge of VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP and LACP
  • Hands-on experience with OSPF and BGP and basic knowledge of IS-IS
  • Ability to analyze routes, policies, adjacencies, convergence, latency, packet loss and interface utilization
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting network equipment via CLI
  • Familiarity with ping, traceroute, MTR, tcpdump or Wireshark and DNS lookups
  • Basic knowledge of MPLS/LDP, NAT, QoS, gateway redundancy and layer 2 services
  • Familiarity with Linux, SSH, SNMP, Syslog and log analysis
  • Experience with incident and change management, technical documentation and meeting SLAs
  • Good communication, organization, sense of priority and availability for on-call duty, shifts or scheduled windows
  • Nice to have: experience in CGR, NOC or support for ISPs, carriers or telecommunications companies
  • Nice to have: multivendor experience with Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Datacom, ZTE or FiberHome
  • Nice to have: knowledge of MPLS/LDP, VPLS, BNG/BRAS, PPPoE, RADIUS, CGNAT, OLTs or access networks
  • Nice to have: automation with Python, Ansible or scripting and familiarity with Git
  • Nice to have: courses or certifications in networking, telecommunications, Linux, ITIL or related areas
  • Analytical and investigative mindset, autonomy, responsibility, attention to detail, composure, proactivity and ability to work in a team
