Job Description

Senior Azure engineer owning cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and reliability for Soleo Health, a national specialty pharmacy and infusion services provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and administer Azure infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and identity using Terraform or Bicep as the source of truth
  • Own Azure infrastructure through the full lifecycle after implementation
  • Serve as Soleo Health's primary technical owner for Azure, including the landing zone and Entra ID integration
  • Design, administer, and troubleshoot Azure networking and hybrid connectivity across Azure, corporate sites, hosted environments, and partners
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and reusable IaC modules
  • Implement automated drift remediation and compliance checks
  • Lead reliability engineering, including SLOs, observability, incident response, root-cause analysis, and postmortems
  • Lead resolution of complex incidents across internal teams and vendors
  • Oversee cloud cost governance, rightsizing, reservations, tagging, forecasting, and anomaly detection
  • Partner with IT management and finance to explain cost variances and evaluate architecture tradeoffs
  • Partner with security on hardening and HIPAA/HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance
  • Own the design and regular testing of backup, disaster-recovery, and business-continuity plans
  • Evaluate new Azure services and architecture patterns
  • Provide technical direction to managed-service providers and other vendors and hold them to contractual service levels
  • Mentor engineers, review designs and pull requests, and communicate infrastructure risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in cloud infrastructure, network engineering, platform, DevOps, or SRE, including 5+ years hands-on with Microsoft Azure
  • Proven ownership of a production Azure environment across its full lifecycle — design, implementation, administration, security, reliability, and cost
  • Deep expertise with core Azure services: VNets, App Gateway, Load Balancer, Private Link, Storage, VMs, Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, DNS, SQL, Entra ID, and Key Vault
  • Advanced networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing, firewalls, segmentation, zero trust, and hybrid-cloud connectivity
  • Production infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform and/or Bicep), including module design, state management, and drift remediation
  • Scripting and automation in PowerShell, Python, plus Azure CLI
  • Demonstrated on-call ownership, complex incident leadership, and coordination across teams and providers
  • Experience with cost management/FinOps, DR/BC design and testing, and directing MSPs or infrastructure vendors
  • Strong remote, cross-time-zone communication skills, including presenting risk and tradeoffs to senior leadership, and the ability to operate independently with limited specialist backup
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, Remote (USA)

  • 401(k) with a Match
  • Referral Bonus
  • Paid Time Off
  • Great Company Culture
  • Annual Merit Based Increases
  • Paid Parental Leave Options
  • Affordable Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Plans
