Job Description
Senior Network Engineer securing MGM Resorts' enterprise network infrastructure. Testing tools, managing vulnerabilities, supporting incidents, and delivering on-premises and cloud projects.
Responsibilities:
- Test, evaluate, build, and mature tools used by MGM Resorts International under Network Architecture direction
- Serve as an escalation point for operational incidents within the tool set
- Drive future development of enterprise platforms and projects on premises and in the cloud
- Provide technical delivery of tasks supporting organizational projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Lead projects to completion and mentor team members in supported technologies
- Ensure system hardware, operating systems, systems software, and procedures follow organizational standards and industry best practices
- Collaborate with Project Management, Architecture, Applications Support, Development teams, and leadership
- Participate in technology roadmaps and fiscal budgeting processes
- Provide technical leadership on projects and drive project tasks and team deliverables
- Monitor and maintain Network Technology stack components, software, server resources, key processes, logs, and scheduled jobs such as backups
- Drive vulnerability management and develop processes and procedures supporting security standards
- Perform security administration, account management, and technology reviews
- Provide performance and capacity monitoring and reporting
- Perform performance tuning and resource optimization
- Provide Tier III and other support
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures
Requirements:
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience in information security intelligence, vulnerability management, or incident response
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience in a technical role in a large enterprise environment supporting on-premises and cloud networks preferred
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience in Information Technology or Intelligence preferred
- Experience building, deploying, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting network solutions preferred
- Extensive technical knowledge of enterprise infrastructure applications such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet firewalls preferred
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet, JNCIE, Palo Alto, CWNA, CISSP, CCIE, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or OCSA preferred
- Experience operating network, infrastructure, and cloud security controls preferred
- Experience leveraging PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar development languages to automate workflows, analysis, or integrations preferred
- Strong technical, leadership, troubleshooting, problem-resolution, communication, and project-completion abilities
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, upper management, and key stakeholders
- Ability to ensure hardware, operating systems, systems software, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards and industry best practices
