Job Description
Entry-level role in LAN Engineering team at Providence. Responsible for supporting design, deployment, and ongoing operation of local area network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN infrastructure
- Perform basic troubleshooting of network issues
- Assist in implementing network changes
- Monitor network performance and escalate complex issues
- Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
- 1 year related experience
- Some experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes
- Scripting with one of PowerShell, Perl, Ansible, VB Script, Python, SQL.
- Associate-level certification (e.g., CCNA or equivalent) preferred
- Familiarity with enterprise networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Meraki or equivalent)
