Job Description
Network Engineer III maintaining Tulane University’s LAN, WAN, voice, data, and wireless infrastructure. Troubleshooting network systems and optimizing hardware, software, and communication links.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operational stability, availability, and integrity of voice, data, and wireless network services
- Plan, design, and maintain LANs and WANs across the organization and multi-campus sites
- Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of network hardware, software, and communication links
- Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide end-user training where required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5 years of related experience and the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification, OR High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 10 years of related experience and the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
- Preferred: 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer at a senior level
- Preferred: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator/Engineer
- Preferred: Cisco ACI – Data Center Application Centric Infrastructure (DCACI)
- Preferred: Operational experience with IPv6
