Job Description
Neurology Account Specialist advancing Shionogi’s RADICAVA ALS treatment through pharmaceutical sales. Building healthcare-provider relationships, territory plans, and product access strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and/or exceed sales objectives for the assigned geography through approved market/selling strategies and solutions
- Engage healthcare professionals in clinically relevant dialogue about ALS and product needs using approved materials
- Analyze sales data to identify business growth opportunities and territory concerns
- Partner with Medical Science Directors, Managers, Patient Access, Regional Business Directors, HUB services, and other organizational personnel
- Develop and implement a dynamic territory business plan based on business, competitive landscape, and territory market analysis
- Develop, nurture, and maintain professional relationships with targeted KOLs, physicians, medical staff, hospital personnel, and ALS center staff
- Navigate the hospital formulary process and implement strategies for product positioning and availability
- Anticipate business challenges, adjust priorities, and develop solutions
- Maintain proficiency in selling skills, clinical, market, and product knowledge, and territory business environment
- Collaborate with peers and company personnel to achieve corporate objectives and initiatives
- Plan and organize schedules for maximum efficiency
- Act as a company ambassador and represent the company, products, and people with integrity and respect
- Complete tasks and projects assigned by the Regional Business Director
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations and Pharma guidelines
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree
- Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2 years experience in Neurology, and/or CNS
- Sound understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and regulations/guidelines pertaining to pharmaceutical sales
- Experience with new product launches
- Highly self-directed, committed to excellence, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong selling skills with track record of sales success particularly with new product launches
- Polished, professional image coupled with outstanding ability to engage others and build strong business relationships
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office; proficiency in Veeva is a plus
- Must be able to travel up to 30%, including frequent overnight stays
- Activities must comply with applicable regulations and Pharma guidelines
