Job Description
Novartis oncology field sales specialist managing Baltimore-area accounts and HCP relationships. Driving demand, access support, and personalized engagements to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Navigate and resolve challenges within accounts with tailored solutions
- Build strategic territory plans to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes
- Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues to address customer needs and deliver access support
- Analyze market, competitive, and cross-functional dynamics to anticipate opportunities and challenges
- Use territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and lead customer engagements virtually or in person
- Facilitate planning sessions with key stakeholders to solve complex challenges
- Deliver real-time access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services
- Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies to personalize outreach across virtual and face-to-face settings
- Act as the primary point of contact for accounts and Health Care Providers
- Balance demand generation with strategic account engagement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required from a 4-year college or university
- Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams, or comparable complex sales environments
- Proven track record of consistent high performance
- Experience navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers
- Analytical ability to seek, prioritize, and apply information to solve customer problems
- Ethical leadership and ability to promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and laws
- Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border
- Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography
- Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory
- Must have a fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- Territory Account Specialist level: 2+ years’ experience in a comparable specialty pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B, or similarly complex sales role within the last 5 years
- Senior Territory Account Specialist level: 5+ years’ experience in a comparable role within the last 5 years
- Associate level: limited prior sales experience accepted, or 4+ years of recent US military service in a leadership capacity
- Experience communicating clinical product information
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally within a matrix environment
- COVID-19 customer credentialing requirements may require vaccination
- Must successfully complete required initial training
