Job Description

Novartis oncology account specialist managing key healthcare accounts across Georgia. Driving demand, access support, and patient-outcome-focused engagement in a field-based remote role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead personalized account experiences for Health Care Providers and key accounts
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers
  • Build meaningful customer connections and identify shared priorities
  • Navigate solutions connecting customers to Novartis resources
  • Balance demand generation with strategic account engagement
  • Navigate and resolve account challenges with tailored solutions
  • Build strategic territory plans to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes
  • Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues to address customer needs and deliver access support
  • Analyze market, competitive landscape, and cross-functional dynamics to anticipate opportunities and challenges
  • Use territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and support pull-through efforts
  • Lead customer engagements virtually and in person
  • Facilitate stakeholder planning sessions to solve complex challenges
  • Deliver real-time access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services
  • Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies for virtual and face-to-face customer outreach
  • Complete required initial training, including home study, during the dedicated training period

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required from 4-year college or university
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams within the last 5 years, or experience in complex sales environments such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance
  • Experience navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers
  • Analytical ability to seek, prioritize, and apply relevant information to solve customer problems
  • Ethical leadership and ability to foster ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and laws
  • Candidate must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border
  • Ability to travel 60–80% over a broad geography
  • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory
  • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
  • Associate level: recently separated from the US Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership capacity, or limited prior sales experience
  • Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years’ experience in a relevant sales role or industry within the last 5 years
  • Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years’ experience in a relevant sales role or industry within the last 5 years
  • Desirable: experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches
  • Desirable: understanding of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs
  • Customer-facing employees must comply with applicable customer credentialing guidelines, which may require vaccination
