Job Description
Mental Health Therapist delivering virtual outpatient therapy to those affected by chronic conditions. Focused on support for individuals and their family caregivers in a remote setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver virtual outpatient therapy to individuals affected by chronic conditions and their family caregivers.
- Perform remote clinical counseling services to clients of Nolia as scheduled and in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain proper licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics which are binding upon or applicable to the services performed at Nolia.
- Completion of written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Nolia or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient.
- Maintain up to date and accurate patient files at all times.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in counseling or social work;
- Active, unrestricted license (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) in the State of California or Washington.
- Required experience with completing assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes in compliance with healthcare plans
- Ideally 2 years of experience (professional or lived) in understanding the needs and challenges faced by family caregivers and older adults
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of cultural humility and the ability to communicate and effectively interact with individuals from different cultures, abilities, genders, ethnicities, and races.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
- Specialty or training in ACT and/or CBT highly preferred.
- Social justice oriented and practices anti-racism work.
- Proficiency in another language, other than English, is a plus but not required.
