Job Description
Postdoctoral researcher characterizing planetary atmospheres through spectroscopy and statistical modeling. Analyzing observational data and publishing findings with interdisciplinary planetary science teams.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research focused on planetary atmospheric characterization
- Analyze and interpret observational data to advance understanding of planetary systems
- Apply reflectance spectroscopy and statistical modeling approaches, including Markov chain Monte Carlo methods
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams
- Participate in remote and in-person team meetings
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and workshops
- Contribute to preparing and publishing original scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals
- Develop independent research skills and contribute to the broader scientific community
Requirements:
- Expertise in planetary atmospheric characterization
- Experience with reflectance spectroscopy
- Experience with statistical modeling approaches, including Markov chain Monte Carlo methods
- Ability to analyze and interpret observational data
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams
- Ability to present research findings at scientific conferences and workshops
- Ability to prepare and publish original scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals
