Job Description
Research Associate executing protein purification, antibody analysis, and bioconjugation experiments for Lonza’s life-sciences manufacturing business. Preparing analytical reports and supporting laboratory operations.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and execute experiments following established protocols, including remodeling and bioconjugation experiments
- Perform product purification using FPLC chromatography, including SEC, IEC and ProtA
- Execute product fill-finish and analysis using SEC, UPLC-MS, HPLC, SDS-PAGE and endotoxin testing
- Process, analyze and document results in ELN
- Prepare production reports in PowerPoint format and product certificates (CoTs)
- Communicate results with internal stakeholders
- Provide general support to lab operations
- Follow company policies, quality and safety standards, and laboratory regulatory compliance requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- BSc or MSc degree in chemical biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience with protein purification and analysis techniques including SEC, IEX, affinity chromatography (protein A/L, Ni-NTA), SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC and MS
- Experience handling antibodies, including modification, purification and analysis
- Familiarity with bioconjugation chemistry techniques; hands-on experience preferred
- Strong commitment to laboratory work and project delivery
- Attention to detail and accuracy
