Job Description
Principal AI Engineer developing and deploying GenAI and machine-learning solutions. Improving healthcare platforms, automation, and outcomes at Gainwell Technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and train machine learning and deep learning models, including GenAI, NLP, and predictive analytics solutions for healthcare applications
- Develop, test, and deploy AI solutions in cloud and on-premise environments
- Work with large healthcare datasets, performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training
- Ensure data processing complies with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Implement and optimize AI models within Gainwell’s existing technology stack
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
- Monitor, refine, and optimize AI models for accuracy, efficiency, and speed using MLOps best practices
- Stay current with AI/ML advancements and explore new technologies and methodologies
- Ensure AI implementations follow healthcare regulations, ethical AI principles, and data privacy standards
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows and optimize business processes using AI-driven solutions
Requirements:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years in AI/ML engineering
- Hands-on experience with GenAI, NLP, deep learning, and computer vision
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Experience with LLMs such as GPT, Gemini, and Claude, including prompt engineering and optimization
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with MLOps practices
- Familiarity with big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL
- Experience developing, deploying, and fine-tuning LLMs for real-world applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions
- Understanding of HIPAA, CMS, and other healthcare regulatory standards is a plus
- Video cameras must be used during all interviews and the initial week of orientation
