Job Description

Principal AI Engineer developing and deploying GenAI and machine-learning solutions. Improving healthcare platforms, automation, and outcomes at Gainwell Technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and train machine learning and deep learning models, including GenAI, NLP, and predictive analytics solutions for healthcare applications
  • Develop, test, and deploy AI solutions in cloud and on-premise environments
  • Work with large healthcare datasets, performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training
  • Ensure data processing complies with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
  • Implement and optimize AI models within Gainwell’s existing technology stack
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
  • Monitor, refine, and optimize AI models for accuracy, efficiency, and speed using MLOps best practices
  • Stay current with AI/ML advancements and explore new technologies and methodologies
  • Ensure AI implementations follow healthcare regulations, ethical AI principles, and data privacy standards
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and optimize business processes using AI-driven solutions

Requirements:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years in AI/ML engineering
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI, NLP, deep learning, and computer vision
  • Strong coding skills in Python
  • Experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Experience with LLMs such as GPT, Gemini, and Claude, including prompt engineering and optimization
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices
  • Familiarity with big data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL
  • Experience developing, deploying, and fine-tuning LLMs for real-world applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions
  • Understanding of HIPAA, CMS, and other healthcare regulatory standards is a plus
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews and the initial week of orientation
