Job Description
Principal Engineering Designer shaping the future of energy and advanced industrial facilities. Overseeing design and delivery of energy systems and guiding emerging talent within a remote team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings using industry software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
- Collaborate with design teams on multiple projects to meet client, contractual, and company requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Provide direct guidance and supervision to junior designers on project drawing production, ensuring quality and consistency across all project work
- Examine complex contract documents and drawings for errors, revising as needed to align with contract specifications
- Support the development of technical reports, material costs, construction estimations, and production schedules
- Conduct project review meetings and prepare project “As-Builts” documentation
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science, or related technical field required
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in document production within the engineering discipline required
- Proficiency in discipline-based software (REVIT, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative work ethic
- Expert working knowledge of engineering discipline with strong expertise in design drawing layout
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
