Job Description

Product Design Lead responsible for the user experience across Mercuryo's products. Leading design team and shaping design culture in a product-led crypto-fintech environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end user experience across all Mercuryo products: on-ramp, off-ramp, cards, swaps, recurring buys, dashboards, etc.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the product design team
  • Improve and maintain the design system to make it clear, consistent, and easy to scale
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, data analysts, and customer success to integrate design into every stage of product development
  • Implement and maintain workflows that connect designers with the rest of the team (engineers, PMs, data analysts, business analysts, compliance)
  • Apply AI tools to help designers move faster and make smarter decisions, like collecting feedback, creating prototypes, and testing usability
  • Contribute to strategy by surfacing user insights and turning them into actionable design opportunities
  • Ensure UX quality at every release - from new features to UX debt fixes
  • Represent the voice of the user in internal discussions and ensure empathy is built into every interaction

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product design experience, including 2+ years in a lead or managerial role
  • Proven track record of leading design teams in fast-paced product environments
  • Experience working in fintech or crypto is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of systems thinking and component-based design
  • Deep understanding of usability, accessibility, and design for conversion
  • Interest in using AI to improve design processes like workflows, research, and iteration
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
