Job Description
Professional Services Engineer addressing IT project management, engineering, and technical disciplines at FIT Solutions. Collaborating on project requirements and maintaining technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Define project requirements, scopes, and deliverables.
- Design, develop, and implement IT infrastructure, systems, and software solutions based on project requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and user manuals.
- Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
- Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
- Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
- Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
- Oversees the progress of the development project.
- Compares the actual cost of a development project to estimates.
- Collaborates with the design group to change plans if problems arise.
- Collaborates with other engineers to share problems and solutions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least five years of experience in project management, engineering, systems design, or other related fields.
- Advanced experience supporting, deploying, configuring and best practice in Azure, AWS, SharePoint.
- Advanced experience with server and networking hardware.
- Advanced experience with supporting, deploying and configuring networking equipment, firewalls, switches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design requirements.
