Job Description

QA Engineer testing software, APIs, databases, and data pipelines for SunnyData, a DataBricks technology partner. Automating tests with Playwright or Cypress and validating data quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand requirements and translate them into test plans and test cases
  • Ensure requirements traceability
  • Execute test cases, including regression testing
  • Document testing results and testing progress
  • Document, track, and validate software defect resolution with Engineering
  • Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and testing-related questions
  • Collaborate with engineers to investigate defects and determine solutions
  • Validate data across applications, APIs, databases, and data pipelines
  • Establish and document testing processes, standards, and best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and data quality
  • Leverage AI tools to improve automation efficiency, data validation, and test coverage
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to ensure high-quality software and reliable data

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright and/or Cypress
  • Strong SQL skills and experience validating data in databases
  • Experience testing APIs and data-driven applications
  • Understanding of data quality, consistency, and integrity
  • Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to document, troubleshoot, and communicate defects and test results
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple testing initiatives
  • Proactive mindset and ability to anticipate risks
  • Interest and experience in leveraging AI tools to improve automation efficiency, data validation, and test coverage
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • English level required
