Job Description

QA Engineer automating end-to-end, API, and database testing for Capco’s financial-services technology platforms. Collaborating with U.S. teams on quality engineering and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute testing strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for new features and platform enhancements
  • Develop and maintain automated tests, ensuring coverage of key functional and regression flows
  • Validate end-to-end functionality involving React frontends, BFFs, backend services, databases, and external integrations
  • Test integrations with upstream and downstream systems, including success, unavailability, timeout, invalid response, and error-handling scenarios
  • Validate API contracts, payloads, HTTP status codes, business rules, and authentication and authorization mechanisms
  • Validate data and business rules in databases using SQL
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Analyze automated test execution results and investigate failures
  • Log, prioritize, and track defects with development and business teams
  • Participate in requirements refinement and review sessions, identifying ambiguities, risks, dependencies, and unaddressed scenarios
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using logs and observability tools
  • Collaborate with developers on shift-left testing, quality, and testability practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks, tools, and practices

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Quality Assurance, including planning, creating, and executing test scenarios and cases
  • Hands-on experience with test automation and developing and maintaining automation frameworks or test suites
  • Experience with REST API test automation
  • Experience with end-to-end (E2E) test automation for web applications
  • Knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent tools
  • Experience with Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and analyzing data in relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  • Experience with system integration testing, including APIs and upstream and downstream systems
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and running automated tests in pipelines
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and code versioning strategies
  • Ability to investigate failures, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical teams, business teams, and stakeholders
  • Advanced spoken and written English — mandatory
