Job Description
Manual QA Engineer ensuring quality for consumer social software at Raya. Collaborating with teams to enhance testing and app performance in a remote role.
Responsibilities:
- own end-to-end testing of key Raya features and experiments
- collaborate with our entire engineering organization to come up with testing strategies and plans
- monitor app performance to ensure smooth delivery of new features and updates
- support the QA and Client Engineering team initiatives for Raya and Places, by Raya
- leverage AI tools to enhance test coverage, generate test cases, analyze logs, or improve QA workflows
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in manual QA within modern software development environments, supporting scalable mobile applications
- Experience navigating both the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Test Life Cycle (STLC)
- Experience working within agile methodologies across all development phases
- Proficient in Jira; experienced testing in sandbox environments, creating detailed test cases, using iOS Console, and maintaining up-to-date documentation
- Eagerness to embrace Raya's QA process, ethos and practices
- Excited about incorporating AI into QA best practices
- Strong collaborative instincts, emphasizing open communication, transparency, and cross-team interaction
- Industry experience testing applications for a variety of smartphones and tablets
- Ability to isolate defects effectively, as well as provide specific conditions for reproducibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for quality in the mobile space
- Flexible mindset
- Proactive self-starter who is able to push back as needed
