Job Description
QA Test Engineer for ALTEN Mexico, an engineering and IT services company, testing web applications, APIs, and databases. Designing test plans, automating tests, tracking defects, and validating releases.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Perform manual and functional testing for web applications, APIs, and databases
- Execute tests, log defects, and track them through resolution
- Ensure data integrity and validate system workflows across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
- Participate in regression testing, performance validation, and release readiness
- Provide accurate QA reports and metrics to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Engineering
- 5 to 8 years of experience
- Solid knowledge of web, API, and database testing
- Strong expertise in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios, including manual and automated tests
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience working with Linux environments
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, and TestLink
- Experience with data encryption, key management, and security testing
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, preferably Playwright
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests
- Scrum certifications desirable
- Advanced English
