Job Description
RCIS Crop Claims Specialist managing complex agricultural insurance claims in Kansas. Working from home and requiring travel within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
- Work the most complex claims involving multiple causes of loss
- Exercise judgement to determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts
- Analyze applicable coverage for claims and determine if losses fall within the coverage
- Assist in training lower-level adjusters
- Complete Quality Assurance type reviews
- Handle claims on specialty crops as designated
- Work claims of 508H crops
- Collaborate with the national training team
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or the crop insurance industry
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
- Personal transportation and travel within assigned territory
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
