Job Description

Revenue Account Specialist managing complex medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy billing for Cigna Healthcare clients. Driving collections, reporting, process improvements, and financial risk reduction remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end billing relationship for multiple non-standard clients
  • Manage billing for medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy invoices at the broker, client, or TPA level
  • Work with clients and third-party vendors on billing installation and ongoing processes
  • Identify and resolve client, broker, or TPA billing opportunities and trends
  • Lead client and TPA walkthrough calls explaining standard processes and non-standard items
  • Identify root causes of billing issues involving rates, eligibility, and commissions
  • Allocate premiums in the CARBS webtool system for onshore and medium-complexity accounts
  • Identify billing process improvements with internal partners including Commissions, Underwriting, Sales, and Implementation
  • Partner with offshore Global Service Partners to improve client experience and reduce financial risk
  • Contact delinquent clients by telephone and email to collect outstanding premiums
  • Recommend monthly reserve amounts/accruals to Finance
  • Develop custom client reporting with PBAB approval
  • Update reporting accurately and promptly
  • Drive changes in client behavior to achieve Cigna’s financial results
  • Support successful implementation of new and renewing clients

Requirements:

  • Required prior experience as a Revenue Account Specialist with proven successful results
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve issues to resolution
  • Strong customer-centric focus and ability to work directly with client points of contact
  • Ability to establish strong matrix partner relationships and follow through on expectations
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge quickly
  • Ability to identify account-specific barriers impacting deliverables and influence positive change
  • Ability to manage multiple and divergent priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Advanced proficiency with software and system-based applications, including databases, spreadsheets, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tracking systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing demands with effective time management and organization skills
  • For home work, cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload
