Job Description

Rugby Social Media Producer/Editor creating high-impact video content for rugby fans worldwide. Responsible for sourcing, producing, editing, and publishing social-first video content.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce, edit, and publish a high volume of rugby-focused short-form video content for social media.
  • Source highlights, viral moments and trending topics across professional and international rugby competitions.
  • Create timely, compelling video edits that align with current social trends, platform best practices, and the rugby calendar.
  • Apply social-native editing techniques (on-screen text, captions, trending sounds, transitions) to maximize virality and audience engagement.
  • Develop and script creative concepts for original rugby-focused social series and shows, ensuring storylines resonate with fans and align with key objectives.
  • Manage a forward-looking content calendar tied to key rugby fixtures, news, and cultural moments.
  • Monitor social performance and engagement, iterating on content strategy to drive growth and fan interaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to ensure all content aligns with brand voice and strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and passion for rugby, including understanding of the sport’s rules, culture, competitions, and key personalities.
  • Proven experience producing and editing short-form video content for social media
  • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and platform algorithms, particularly for sports content.
  • Creative mindset with a sharp eye for viral moments and storytelling opportunities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
