Job Description
Sales Support Specialist supporting sales reporting, customer service, and marketing initiatives for a railroad maintenance and construction company. Coordinating metrics, presentations, orders, and social media opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Support management team members and executives as needed
- Perform administrative duties for the sales team, including meeting or conference planning and preparation
- Assist the Inside Sales team with data reports and sales guides
- Monitor sales performance through sales tracking tools and report progress to the Inside Sales team
- Attend virtual and in-person meetings and respond to emails to assist all territories within the region
- Meet with senior leaders to provide updates on strategic deliverables and insights into client trends
- Coordinate sales metric reports for productivity and key performance metrics
- Draft presentations and reports for the sales team
- Respond to customer requests via email, phone, social media, and chat
- Provide customer service by managing pending orders and customer requests
- Identify opportunities for sales performance and sales process improvements
- Prepare content and identify marketing and sales opportunities for social media platforms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience required
- Proven work experience as a Sales Support Specialist
- Railroad, Construction, or other related industry experience, preferred
- Railroad Industry marketing experience, preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Active listener and ability to adapt quickly to various customer needs
- Analytical and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Time management and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and social media platforms
- Ability to interpret sales metrics and perform data entry
