Job Description
SAP manufacturing systems leader driving ERP, MES, and PLM transformation for L3Harris Technologies, an aerospace and defense innovator. Leading SAP operations, process optimization, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the SAP subject matter expert for Operations
- Lead ERP sustainment and continuous improvement activities across Planning, Quality, MRO, Procurement, and Supply Chain in SAP S/4HANA
- Lead business process owners across functional silos, geographic boundaries, and business units
- Coordinate functions with overall business strategy and lead end-to-end operations and supply chain processes
- Manage projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative solutions
- Ensure stability and performance of production systems
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across ERP, MES, PLM, and related digital manufacturing systems
- Partner with Operations leaders to identify process gaps, system inefficiencies, and SAP adoption opportunities
- Optimize ERP/MRP processes, planning effectiveness, production execution, material availability, and operational efficiency
- Analyze and improve SAP planning and execution parameters, including MRP behavior, work centers, routings, planning strategies, and scheduling
- Drive standardization and best practices across sites
- Provide expert guidance on SAP process design, transaction discipline, and end-user adoption
- Define and drive the Operations roadmap for ERP, MES, PLM, and digital manufacturing systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders, corporate IT, and managed service support to design, configure, and test SAP modules
- Document business requirements and Standard Work for SAP utilization
- Support a multi-plant SAP system, including upgrades, enhancements, and module rollouts
- Develop functional specifications and process-flow documentation
- Prioritize issue resolution and enhancements and support troubleshooting of complex issues
- Build internal and external customer relationships by aligning solutions with business requirements
- Stay current with SAP technologies and align them with business direction
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and minimum 10 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum 13 years of prior related experience
- Minimum 9 years of experience in SAP plan to produce
- At least 9 years of experience with SAP Production plan to produce workstream
- Familiarity with integration points across SAP modules
- Experience with successful system implementations and support
- Experience analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into effective ERP solutions
- Ability to travel 25%-50% as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance (Secret)
- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA/ECC functionality and configuration
- Strong technical background in business operations, tools, and processes
- Experience with ERP applications including MRO
- Exposure to waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Experience developing technical solutions to complex problems and driving implementation
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
