Job Description
Remote seasonal specialist supporting judges, scoring questions, training, and event operations for Varsity Spirit’s cheer and dance competitions. Coordinating staffing, travel, compliance, and post-event scoring issues.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with staffing judges for Varsity All Star events in the region using Salesforce/UKG
- Coordinate with regional offices to ensure sufficient judging panels for each event
- Assist with confirming judges and securing travel arrangements
- Follow up with judges needing additional training after events
- Support Judges Training/Curriculum
- Build and maintain relationships with Varsity All Star judges
- Assist with managing travel for all judge staff
- Assist with post-event scoring concerns
- Identify frequently asked questions requiring additional coach and/or judge training
- Provide additional training to judges who need it
- Inform the National Scoring Director about major scoring issues affecting event rankings or bids
- Verify judge timesheets, compliance, and completed training
- Serve in a support role at events
- Work end-of-season events in a scoring role
- Attend designated major events in person as required
Requirements:
- Fluent in the current scoring system
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites
- Strong fluency in Microsoft Excel and Google Forms
- High level of customer service acumen
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in and knowledge of current and previous scoring systems
- Experience in the cheer and dance industry is preferred
- Availability for event travel, overnight stays, staff meetings, and training
- Availability to work 3–4 weekends per month during the October–May event season
- Ability to stand and walk for 5+ hours during events
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and manipulate equipment weighing at least 30 lbs.
