Job Description
Security Engineer investigating high-impact incidents and building SIEM-based detections for Expleo, a global engineering and technology services provider. Remote role for candidates living in Portugal.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate complex, high-impact security incidents
- Develop, optimize, and maintain detection rules
- Implement security controls, conduct risk assessments, and remediate vulnerabilities
- Develop scripts, automation, and integrations focused on scalability, operational efficiency, and reliability
- Define security strategies and communicate with stakeholders
- Provide mentoring and technical consulting
Requirements:
- Solid professional experience in Security Engineering and Incident Response, including investigation of complex, high-impact incidents
- Experience with SIEM, IDS, and Detection Engineering, including development, optimization, and maintenance of detection rules, preferably using Splunk
- Solid knowledge of Security Architecture and Vulnerability Management, including implementation of security controls, risk assessment, and vulnerability remediation
- Experience in script development, automation, and integrations, with a focus on scalability, operational efficiency, and solution reliability
- Technical leadership skills, risk analysis, defining security strategies, and communicating with stakeholders, including mentoring and technical consulting
- Excellent communication skills in English, with a collaborative spirit, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
- Candidate must already be living in Portugal
