Job Description
Unarmed Security Guard conducting patrols and monitoring access at cemetery grounds in Dixon, CA. Ensuring safety and security during funeral services and special events.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols across cemetery grounds, including buildings, memorial areas, and perimeter.
- Monitor and control access points, including locking and unlocking gates.
- Provide security presence during funeral services and special events, assisting with traffic and crowd control.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, coordinating with VA Police or local authorities as needed.
- Maintain situational awareness and report suspicious activity or hazards immediately.
- Complete and submit daily activity logs and incident reports within required timelines.
- Safeguard government property and ensure all areas are secured at the end of each shift.
- Provide courteous assistance to visitors while maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor.
- Follow all Post Orders and communicate effectively with the facility personnel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant security experience.
- Valid California Security Guard Card (BSIS) required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass a background check and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fluent in English with strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Physically able to perform foot patrols and work extended shifts.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
