Job Description
Account Specialist managing creative, print, and production projects for RRD, a global marketing and supply chain solutions provider. Coordinating clients, production teams, workflows, and project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and production teams
- Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships through proactive communication
- Manage multiple timelines and projects across various project-life-cycle stages
- Apply workflow, digital asset management, problem-solving, workflow procedure, and quality-control knowledge
- Analyze client-supplied data ingestion into existing templates
- Lead day-to-day project management and optimization
- Enter job specifications into job-management software and prioritize jobs
- Attend and organize client, production, and project-management status meetings
- Provide pre-production services and manage order-entry processes
- Prepare accurate job instructions and communicate job-specific information
- Monitor order progress, scheduling concerns, and requests for information or materials
- Resolve and escalate production-related problems
- Identify and facilitate continuous-improvement opportunities
- Monitor page-production services and communicate performance to customers
- Notify customers when pages and proofing cycles exceed agreed limits
- Support customer retention, loyalty, account satisfaction, and service excellence
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent working experience
- 5+ years of experience in project management or comparable experience with progressively expanding responsibilities
- Background in the pre-media and/or print industry preferred
- Excellent Mac computer skills
- Ability to learn new programs and platforms
- Ability to provide basic troubleshooting
- Experience using continuous improvement tools to create and track metrics
- Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proven track record with strong and effective client relationships and solution delivery
- Superior written and verbal presentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams internally and client-side
- Ability to anticipate client needs and increase volume and profitability
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat, is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage high volumes of information during high-stress situations
- Normal office hours with occasional after-hours work to meet deadlines
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background and drug screen
