Job Description
Senior Accountant managing financial operations for Arancia Cybersecurity, focusing on AP/AR cycles and compliance. Supporting Canadian operations and ensuring financial discipline across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary finance accountant, executing daily financial operations
- Handle AP/AR functions directly to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and expense processing
- Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness
- Support the CFO/Finance Lead in process improvement, policy implementation, and financial governance
- Process invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and approvals
- Prepare and issue client invoices, ensuring accuracy with contracts/SOWs
- Perform weekly and monthly bank, credit card, and clearing account reconciliations
- Maintain the Canadian QuickBooks environment, including COA structure, classes, tags, and reporting
- Process Canadian payroll end-to-end: input hours, salaries, commissions, deductions, vacation, and benefits
Requirements:
- Accounting degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience (CA, ACCA, or CPA path preferred)
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong command of QuickBooks Online and MS Excel (pivot tables, dashboards, modelling)
- Strong familiarity with Canadian payroll, sales tax (HST/GST), and compliance standards
- Ability to manage workloads independently and ensure high accuracy under tight deadlines
- Excellent English communication skills for working with cross-border teams (U.S. & International)
