Job Description
Senior Accountant responsible for financial reporting and compliance under Swiss regulations at Trek. Involves collaboration with finance team and external auditors to optimize accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full set of financial accounting in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
- Take full responsibility for monthly and annual closings in accordance with Swiss GAAP and the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
- Maintain the general ledger, subledgers and fixed assets accounting
- Perform account reconciliations, provisions and accruals
- Support internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
- Prepare and review Swiss VAT (MWST) returns
- Analyze financial data and prepare management reports
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities and optimize accounting processes
Requirements:
- Completed commercial apprenticeship with further training in Accounting/Finance
- Several years of professional experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role
- Proven experience in independently performing complete financial closings
- Solid knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations (OR)
- Proficient in ERP systems
- Structured, analytical and independent working style
- High level of accuracy, reliability and sense of responsibility
- Fluent German; business‑fluent English
