Job Description
Senior AI Backend Engineer building Python backends for Pyyne’s AI-powered research platform. Integrating LLM agents, data pipelines, and scalable client solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and extend Python backend systems for an AI-powered research and analysis platform
- Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines from external sources, including reviews and data warehouses, into the application layer
- Integrate LLMs and agents into existing backend workflows
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and full-stack team members to ship features end-to-end
- Ensure backend services meet production standards for reliability, performance, and data integrity
- Contribute to architectural decisions spanning backend, data, and AI layers
- Own end-to-end backend technical delivery with minimal oversight
- Translate client research workflows and stakeholder requirements into scalable backend solutions
- Work in a highly client-facing consulting role with non-technical stakeholders
- Potentially grow into a technical lead role
Requirements:
- Lead-level experience in Python backend engineering (~8+ years)
- Proven experience translating business processes into technical requirements or solution designs, ideally in a consulting or client-facing delivery role
- Experience owning a roadmap and prioritizing competing initiatives by feasibility, ROI, and readiness
- Demonstrated stakeholder management with technical teams and non-technical business leaders
- Experience working in structured, production environments
- Fluent English at native or near-native level
- Strong backend engineering skills
- Deep knowledge of LLMs and agentic systems
- Strong understanding of generative AI technical specifications, models, and frameworks
- Ability to design multi-step agent workflows and make informed LLM deployment decisions
- Candidates must work remotely from Brazil or be in the Buenos Aires metro area in Argentina
- High level of spoken English and proficiency in reading and writing professional English
