Job Description

Senior Analytics Engineer managing Backend infrastructure, dbt models, and analytics engineering for a data-driven PropTech. Influencing architecture and data quality standards for high-stakes decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Landing's dbt models, data pipelines, and warehouse architecture.
  • Maintain dbt model library — keeping models clean, tested, documented, and aligned with business data usage.
  • Manage Landing's ELT stack — including Stitch, Snowflake, dbt, and associated monitoring and orchestration tooling.
  • Establish a finance and operations data spine — authoritative source of truth for core executive KPIs, metric definitions, and warehouse logic.
  • Develop analytics engineering standards, tooling decisions, and long-term roadmap for data platform.
  • Foster cross-functional data partnerships with Engineering, FP&A, and Accounting — translate between technical infrastructure and business need.
  • Enforce data quality standards, testing frameworks, and metric governance practices.
  • Support executive, board, and investor reporting — work directly impacts high-stakes decision-making and fundraising.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence with a strong backend focus.
  • Expert-level dbt — production models at scale, with fluency in testing, documentation, lineage, and model architecture best practices.
  • Strong SQL and deep experience designing data models for analytical use cases.
  • Hands-on Snowflake experience (or comparable cloud warehouse: Redshift, BigQuery, Vertica).
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines — understand ELT patterns, source system integration, and build for reliability.
  • Ability to translate between technical infrastructure and business context — able to sit with FP&A or Accounting, understand needs, and build a delivering model.
  • A bias toward documentation, clarity, and ownership — leave things better than found.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving priorities — judgment matters.
  • Strong communication skills — able to explain a data model to an analyst and a pipeline failure to a CFO.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation + stock options
  • Comprehensive benefits — Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Disability, Mental Health, Pet, Commuter, FSA or HSA
  • 401(k) plan and access to ImmediatePay
  • Generous PTO policy
  • Opportunities for upward mobility — we want you to grow with us
  • $750 annually in Landing Stays
