Job Description

Senior Analytics Engineer building scalable data transformations for Aleph's AI-native FP&A platform. Improving data integrity, pipelines, and models across diverse financial and operational sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Own how client-facing data transformations are built faster, better, and more scalably as integrations and customers grow
  • Determine where and how to leverage AI to accelerate, improve, and document transformation work
  • Design and evolve data integrity tests with Engineering and Customer Success
  • Partner with Customer Success to understand data and reporting needs
  • Troubleshoot data issues and build robust transformations across many sources
  • Refactor and optimize critical models and pipelines
  • Define patterns and conventions for other team members
  • Improve code quality, data integrity, team processes, and developer experience
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Customer Success, and stakeholders
  • Coach others and contribute to hiring and onboarding

Requirements:

  • Track record of owning transformation pipelines over financial or operational data end to end, from source integration through production-ready models
  • Experience working with financial data is a plus
  • Strong SQL
  • Experience with dbt or similar
  • Comfort with version control, testing, and deployment
  • Ability to reason about data from source to consumption and make sound technical decisions across the pipeline
  • Ability to drive standards, support great practices, and shape architectural decisions
  • Ability to handle ambiguity independently
  • Strong focus on code quality and data integrity
  • Experience building reliable, performant, and well-documented transformation layers
  • Clear, direct, and persuasive communication with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience upleveling teams, coaching others, and contributing to hiring and onboarding
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn Python, BigQuery, Airbyte, Fivetran, Merge, Datadog, Git, and CI/CD for dbt
  • Must be located in North or South America
