Job Description
Senior Quality Engineer automating UI, API, Mobile, and Mainframe testing for a global engineering firm. Responsible for maintaining automation frameworks and collaborating with developers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, Mobile, and Mainframe testing
- Collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders to define, review, and refine test cases and Gherkin feature files
- Implement reusable utility methods and modular step definitions to promote scalability and maintainability
- Develop, execute, debug, and analyze automated test scripts to ensure quality and stability
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins
- Analyze automation test results, identify defects, log issues, and follow through with development teams to closure
- Manage test data and environment configurations to ensure consistent and reliable test execution
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in automation testing
- Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium, RestAssured and Appium with JAVA
- Additional experience with Node.js-based automation frameworks such as WebDriverIO and Axios
- Solid understanding of BDD using Cucumber, TestNG, Git, and Maven
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and generating reports using Extent and Allure
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and QE best practices
- Strong analytical and technical documentation skills
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms such as Lambda Test and Sauce Labs
- Nice to have experience with performance testing tools like JMeter
- Basic knowledge of SQL CRUD operations and experience working with Mainframe terminal screens
