Job Description
Senior automation test engineer building Selenium Java QA solutions for Accesa, a technology company serving major retail, manufacturing, finance, and banking brands. Leading scalable automation, CI/CD quality, and cross-functional testing.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement scalable automation practices aligned with the overall test strategy
- Design, develop, and maintain Selenium WebDriver scripts and test plans
- Enhance automation frameworks for performance
- Manage Selenium Grid and parallel execution
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with QA, developers, product teams, and stakeholders to resolve defects and align testing with business goals
- Guide junior and mid-level QA engineers
- Participate in code reviews and share best practices
- Generate test metrics and analyze results
- Contribute to improvements in quality processes and tools
- Perform manual end-to-end testing as part of day-to-day work
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering
- Proven expertise in Selenium WebDriver and a programming language such as Java
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured
- Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum practices, and test management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or TestRail
- Experience with version control using Git
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for diagnosing test failures and enhancing test coverage
- Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly by structuring effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of the final result
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
- Willingness to perform manual end-to-end testing
- Nice to have: experience with performance and accessibility testing tools such as JMeter or Locust
- Nice to have: familiarity with containerization and cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure
- Nice to have: background in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or CodeceptJS
- Nice to have: exposure to mobile test automation using Appium
- Nice to have: understanding of testing strategies for scalable, distributed systems
