Job Description
Senior Golang Backend Engineer building secure, scalable distributed systems and APIs. Delivering cloud-native integrations for Miratech’s global IT services and consulting clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services in Golang
- Develop RESTful APIs and stable data contracts that evolve safely over time
- Implement and manage asynchronous, event-driven communication with reliable message handling, idempotency, error handling, and backward compatibility
- Design and develop distributed systems and microservices focused on scalability, resilience, and maintainability
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and resource utilization in production environments
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
- Conduct code reviews and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations
- Design and maintain secure APIs and service integrations using authentication, authorization, and identity-management best practices
- Build integrations with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Genesys Cloud, and other third-party systems
- Maintain reliable integrations between internal services and external enterprise platforms
- Occasionally contribute to React-based frontend functionality
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Strong experience building backend applications and services using Golang
- Solid understanding of concurrency in Golang and asynchronous workflows
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message handling, such as Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures
- Proven experience designing APIs and event schemas with long-term evolution and backward compatibility in mind
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API design
- Experience with microservice architectures and distributed systems
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong commitment to automated testing, including unit and integration testing
- Nice to have: Experience with React and modern frontend development
- Nice to have: Experience with TypeScript and Protobuf
- Nice to have: Experience with Azure or GCP
- Nice to have: Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Nice to have: Experience with identity and access management solutions such as Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar
