Job Description
Senior Java Developer developing secure tax administration software for Miratech’s public-sector clients. Implementing Java microservices, integrations, testing, and CI/CD improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Implement software components according to design specifications
- Perform system integration and testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Perform unit testing of software components
- Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
- Collaborate proactively with teammates and communicate with project stakeholders
- Provide technical input into product roadmaps
- Participate in triage activities, including incident analysis and prioritization
- Support and optimize CI/CD processes
- Develop and maintain customized software solutions for a large European public-sector technology customer
- Contribute to a tax administration system covering tax declaration processing, tax calculations, assessments, and integrations with external systems
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus
- Understanding of microservices architecture and containers, including Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL or other RDBMS
- Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging, including Kafka and ActiveMQ
- Good understanding of testing principles
- Ability to communicate confidently in English
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams
- Experience in Angular front-end development (nice to have)
- German or Swiss German language skills (nice to have)
