Job Description
Senior Backend Software Engineer developing large-scale applications to secure devices for SentinelOne. Responsible for collaborating with teams and delivering scalable solutions for endpoint protection.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, and low latency applications, built to handle several millions of events per second.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.
- Participate and collaborate with cross-functional teams in both your organization and other organizations at S1, to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.
- Maintain application stability and data integrity by monitoring key metrics and improving the codebase accordingly.
- Understand and maintain the existing codebase by regular re-factoring and applying requested fixes and features.
- Learn new technologies that can solve our huge volume of data and the challenges it poses.
- Build the agent platform protocol for other SentinelOne teams to build upon and ship new security and detection capabilities safely and quickly, while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and observability of the agent fleet in production.
Requirements:
- Multiple years of professional backend development experience in Java (preferred) and/or Golang, understanding of Python is a plus.
- Ability to quickly dive into new products and understand their inner workings.
- A self-driven approach as an individual contributor.
- Experience with designing large-scale high-load distributed systems and their performance.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or other cloud platforms, and with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication skills, as you will be regularly in touch with Product, Technical Account Managers (who provide feedback from clients), and other cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
- Experience in an enterprise SaaS company or cybersecurity software company is highly preferred.
