Job Description
Business Intelligence Developer creating and implementing advanced BI solutions for clients. Collaborating with engineers and developers to optimize existing applications and deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage extensive knowledge and experience in business intelligence, data analysis, and technical skills to create and implement advanced solutions
- Actively participate in designing and developing new BI applications and reports, focusing on delivering actionable insights and ensuring data accuracy and reliability
- Maintain and optimize existing BI solutions, addressing reported issues or adding features
- Develop custom software to extend the functionality of the ERP and CRM systems
- Work collaboratively with data engineers, other BI developers, and team members to ensure proper operation and acceptance of BI solutions
- Assist project leadership on projects of complex scope and work independently or under limited supervision
- Utilize knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, SSAS, and other BI tools to create interactive dashboards and reports
- Work with the software development team to integrate BI capabilities into other applications
- Use knowledge of relational database design to develop the database layer of applications
- Develop and maintain ETL processes, data warehouses, and database security strategies
- Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline PLUS 8 years of experience with Business Intelligence development
- Advanced knowledge of BI & reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and SSAS
- Proficiency in T-SQL and query languages
- Solid understanding of database platforms and technologies such as MS SQL Server, MS Access, MySQL, OLTP, and OLAP
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
- Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technology and adapting to evolving requirements
- Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
