Job Description

Senior nurse managing NantHealth’s oncology evidence libraries. Reviewing clinical research, guidelines, and medical policies to support utilization management, care quality, and reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain oncology Eviti evidence-based libraries
  • Build and review oncology treatment regimens based on clinical studies and oncology clinical practice guidelines
  • Facilitate ongoing reviews and updates of Library regimens
  • Independently prioritize, plan, and execute Library management
  • Perform assigned Annual Reviews to keep the Library up to date
  • Collaborate with colleagues to evaluate, develop, and review Library content for accuracy, currency, consistency, and appropriateness
  • Improve and develop Library content and maintenance processes
  • Train and mentor Knowledge Base Managers
  • Identify and prioritize Library issues and needs
  • Conduct medical literature searches and interpret clinical study results
  • Review the impact of Library changes on client Medical Policy and Pathways
  • Analyze and create rules for client Medical Policy, Oncology Pathways, and Medicare coverage determinations
  • Lead new client Medical Policy and Pathway implementations
  • Communicate the rationale for independent content-related decisions to cross-functional teams
  • Support development of Eviti and the Library, including integration of biomarker and genomic diagnostic parameters
  • Participate in training and continuing education of NantHealth staff
  • Respond to requests for information and rationale regarding Library content
  • Participate in and lead project teams improving Eviti’s clinical content and software functionality

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years prior clinical experience in oncology
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, strongly preferred
  • Research and writing experience
  • Current active unrestricted registered nursing (RN) license
  • Oncology nursing certification, preferred
  • Ability to work independently under close supervision
  • Clinical decision-making and efficiency improvement skills
  • Ability to manage and curate the Eviti Library, including medical policy
  • Ability to explain facts, policies, and practices related to the job area
  • Ability to meet operational and project timelines and objectives
  • Effective communication with teammates and medical staff
  • Ability to communicate with IT staff to report and troubleshoot problems and request new functionality
