Job Description
Chief Coastal Engineer at Ramboll leading coastal engineering projects in Denmark and internationally. Responsible for technical excellence and project management in coastal and marine environments.
Responsibilities:
- Taking the lead for technical coastal engineering excellence
- Develop teams and colleagues
- Delivering professional expertise to projects and to customers
- Manage larger coastal and marine projects with diverse stakeholders
- Managing numerical modelling tasks for waves, water levels, currents, sediment transport, etc. using state of art software as MIKE
- Guid met-ocean analysis of waves, currents and water levels to establish design conditions for both coastal and offshore projects.
- Design tasks using state-of-the-art coastal engineering methods to address problems related to marine structures and climate change
- Preparation of technical documents (reports, drawings, specifications)
- Engaging and interacting with other team members in a multi-disciplinary team
- Drive the development and innovation of our hydraulic modelling excellence
- Take responsibility for technical project delivery as discipline lead/design manager
- Maintain the highest level of quality in our deliverables
- Promote our capabilities in the market
- Co-create closely with clients and stakeholders, focussing on value creation
- Act as role model for our younger team members
Requirements:
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
- Preferably +10 years´ proven experience in the design of coastal and marine structures, numerical modelling, flood protection measures and coastal zone management
- Team lead experience
- Large experience with complex multidisciplinary marine projects, coastal and flood protections, artificial island or met-ocean projects
- Great communication skills - English at a professional level, profound Danish communication skills required and any other language skills are a plus
