Job Description
Senior COBOL Developer responsible for complex problem-solving in legacy systems. Join a solid company impacting thousands of clients in Brazil with modernized solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL systems in a mainframe environment.
- Analyze requests, propose technical solutions, and estimate effort.
- Fix bugs and implement performance improvements.
- Participate in modernization projects and integrations with new technologies.
- Write and review technical documentation.
- Support the team with technical questions and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and impacts.
Requirements:
- Strong experience as a COBOL Developer in a mainframe environment.
- Experience with JCL, DB2 or VSAM, and version control tools.
- Background in maintaining high-criticality legacy systems.
- Ability to analyze existing code and propose improvements.
- Good communication in Portuguese and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
