Job Description
Senior Corporate Accountant managing the books and financial reporting for a new line of business at 3iQ. Overseeing accounting, audits, and financial reporting processes with a collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting entries including management of accounts payable.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare monthly financial reports with detailed variance analysis to provide key insights to Senior management.
- Prepare annual audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS.
- Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ad hoc reporting duties as requested.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in corporate accounting preferably within the investment fund industry.
- Experience with monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or commerce; CPA or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and practices.
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills are essential along with excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products.
- Experience dealing with audits is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional ability to be highly collaborative and flexible in a very dynamic environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills that are above average.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite or Quickbooks is preferred).
