Job Description
Data Engineer developing and evolving backend data solutions for finance decision processes. Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability in data pipelines and system integration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and evolve data pipelines responsible for the selection and eligibility of receivables, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in processes;
- Implement business rules related to the purchase of assignments (cessions), translating financial criteria into system logic;
- Build and maintain processes for calculating and validating financial indicators and criteria;
- Develop integrations between data pipelines and backend applications, ensuring consistency and smooth information flow;
- Work on the evolution of distributed, event-driven architectures;
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of pipelines that process large volumes of data;
- Investigate and resolve complex issues in distributed processing environments;
- Contribute to the evolution of the company’s data and systems architecture, promoting engineering best practices and code quality;
- Participate in technical reviews and collaborate in disseminating standards and continuous improvements;
- Partner with business areas to support the development of solutions that automate operational decisions and increase VERT’s efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Python for developing data pipelines and implementing business logic;
- Experience with large-scale data processing (Apache Spark, Databricks or similar);
- Knowledge of data modeling and transformation (ETL/ELT);
- Experience with messaging and/or event streaming (such as Kafka or similar);
- Experience integrating services and developing APIs (REST);
- Proficiency with source control (Git) and collaborative development practices;
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation;
- Experience with distributed and event-driven architectures;
- Experience integrating data pipelines with backend applications;
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS or similar);
- Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration.
- Preferred, but not required:
- Experience with Databricks and/or Delta Lake;
- Experience in financial systems or capital markets;
- Experience processing large volumes of data and files;
- Experience with streaming-based architectures.
