Job Description
Senior Frontend Engineer building Okendo’s Shopify customer marketing platform. Developing Vue, Angular, and React experiences with TypeScript across AWS serverless architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Build and ship frontend features across Vue-based embeddable widgets and shopper-facing components, Angular-based merchant admin tools, and React-based Shopify integrations
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions with product, design, and backend engineering
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable TypeScript
- Break down complex problems into scoped tasks, estimate, plan, and deliver work
- Own features end to end: design, build, test, deploy, and monitor in production
- Participate in system design discussions and evolve frontend architecture as the platform scales
- Mentor engineers, review code, and raise the team’s technical standards
- Collaborate with backend engineers to design performant APIs and data flows
- Develop, test, and deploy software solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and communicate project updates
- Evaluate and integrate technical solutions into the existing system
- Explore new technologies and contribute innovative ideas
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience building production frontend applications
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one of Vue, Angular, or React, with ability to ramp quickly across the other two
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Track record of shipping high-quality, tested, maintainable frontend code in a team environment
- Comfort working across a full serverless stack, including APIs, event-driven services, and cloud infrastructure
- Strong written and verbal communication for async work with a fully distributed, global team
- Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions with appropriate guidance, and know when to ask for help
- Experience with AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFront, S3, and SQS/SNS
- Experience building embeddable widgets or SDKs running on third-party sites
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Prior experience at an e-commerce, martech, or Shopify-ecosystem company
