Senior Full Stack Developer modernizing school transportation platforms with C#, C++, React, and Claude Code. Building reliable core systems and cloud-native AI-enabled applications.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the flagship product's core business logic, web applications, and databases.
- Perform performance tuning and production fixes across the full stack.
- Design and build end-to-end features on the modern platform, spanning APIs, modern web front ends, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Use Claude Code as the primary development environment.
- Build and improve CLAUDE.md files, skills, agents and workflows used by the team.
- Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions across core and next-generation platforms.
- Review code and set quality standards, including reviewing AI-generated code.
- Mentor team members through code review, pairing and demonstrating AI-first development practices.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of senior-level ownership: taking features from ambiguous request through design, build, release and support.
- Deep C#/.NET experience across both generations of the stack: .NET Framework with ASP.NET MVC, and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core.
- Professional C++ experience and the ability to work productively in a large, long-lived production C++ codebase.
- Strong SQL Server skills - schema design, T-SQL, stored procedures, query and index performance tuning on production databases.
- Production React and TypeScript experience building real applications.
- Full, daily use of Claude Code as your primary development tool.
- Ability to demonstrate CLAUDE.md files, custom skills or commands, subagents, MCP servers, hooks, parallel sessions or worktrees, and verification of agent output.
- Experience building agentic workflows beyond your own desk, including Claude Code in CI/CD pipelines, automated review, spec-driven or multi-agent development.
- Nice to have: Experience building AI features into products, including LLM integrations, tool use, retrieval or agent-based functionality.
- Nice to have: Multi-tenant SaaS experience, including tenant isolation and enterprise customer requirements.
- Nice to have: Kubernetes and Docker experience.
- Nice to have: IBM Cloud experience, or strong experience with Azure or AWS.
- Nice to have: Background in fleet, transportation, telematics, GPS, routing or logistics software.
- Nice to have: Experience supporting both self-hosted and cloud-hosted deployments of the same product.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
- Full health and wellness benefits.
- Flexible work hours and remote-friendly setup.
- Full access to Claude Code and modern AI tooling, and the autonomy to shape how our team uses it.
- A collaborative team culture focused on modernizing software that drivers, parents and school districts rely on every day.
