Job Description
Senior full-stack engineer building Gifted Savings’ web platform for student investment portfolios and financial education. Leading responsive product development and technology decisions in a remote U.S. nonprofit team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop web applications from design through fully deployed product
- Build software that functions seamlessly across desktop and mobile web platforms
- Translate product requirements and designs into high-quality working software
- Identify and maintain pixel-perfect, site-wide design standards
- Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams in a lean, agile environment
- Report directly to the CTO
- Contribute to strategic decisions and the overall direction of the technology stack
- Act as a technical lead on product features or initiatives
- Participate in occasional travel for team meetings and program-related events
Requirements:
- Strong TypeScript skills
- React.js skills
- API best practices
- Excellent CSS/SCSS skills
- Experience creating accurate, responsive designs
- AI-native development using Claude Code, Cursor, MCPs, and orchestrated agents
- Awareness of the latest AI tools and technical functionality
- 8+ years of relevant full-time work experience
- Experience in a fast-paced 0-to-1 environment ideally
- Advanced technical and analytical skills to diagnose, isolate, and resolve problems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to act as a technical lead on product features or initiatives
- Background in fintech, investment platforms, or financial technology
- Experience with payments, compliance, secure financial workflows, or donor/fundraising tools
- Bonus: TypeScript, NestJS, Next.js, NodeJS, Prisma ORM, or TailwindCSS
- Experience building entire applications from designs through scaled production deployments
- Must be based in the United States
