Job Description
Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer securing Headway’s mental healthcare platform and AWS infrastructure. Building guardrails, cloud security posture, and security operations for large-scale provider and patient systems.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Product and Infrastructure teams on secure platforms and infrastructure
- Perform system engineering and implementation efforts
- Conduct security reviews
- Contribute to system design decisions
- Drive continuous improvement of critical infrastructure
- Define and build infrastructure and application guardrails so developers can build securely by default
- Instill a culture of secure system design across engineering
- Build and mature Headway’s cloud security posture across AWS
- Develop AI-native approaches to configuration standards, hardening, and vulnerability remediation
- Assist with incident response, vulnerability management, security reviews, and other security operations
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in security and/or software engineering roles
- Demonstrated history of working on security-related projects or with responsibilities as a security generalist
- Technical experience building secure platforms and products at a deep level
- Experience performing security design and code reviews
- Experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud security
- Experience with Python 3 and/or TypeScript
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must indicate whether visa sponsorship is required
