Job Description
Senior Java Developer building Java/Spring Boot microservices on AWS for an airline-aviation partner. Working remotely from India with IST hours and occasional CST overlap.
Responsibilities:
- Develop software using Java within an AWS Cloud environment
- Build and maintain Spring Boot-based microservices
- Work with relational databases and NoSQL engines
- Implement serverless/containerized deployments and cloud-native architecture
- Apply TDD/JUnit, Git workflows, domain-driven design, and automated CI/CD pipelines
- Support offshore delivery from India
- Cover overlapping hours with US Central Standard Time when required
Requirements:
- 12+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java (Java 11/17+ preferred)
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and microservice ecosystem patterns
- Deep proficiency in relational databases including AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Deep proficiency in NoSQL engines including DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- Advanced working knowledge of AWS cloud services, serverless/containerized deployments, and cloud-native architecture
- Proven track record in TDD/JUnit, Git workflows, domain-driven design (DDD), and automated CI/CD pipelines
- Outstanding verbal/written English skills
- Based in IST, with flexibility to cover overlapping hours with US Central Standard Time (CST) when required
- Hands-on experience with event-driven messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and AWS SQS/SNS (nice-to-have)
- AWS Certified Developer or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification (nice-to-have)
